1st University of Kurdistan Roundtable Conference

The conference was opened with welcome and introduction by the Head of International Relations, Dr. Abdollah Hassanzadeh. This was followed by a short speech by the Chancellor of the University of Kurdistan, Dr. Fardin Akhlaghian Tab and a PowerPoint presentation given in English by the Senior Administrative Officer, Ms Lamiah Hashemi. The Head of International Relations, Dr. Abdollah Hassanzadeh, then gave a speech in Persian. The dissemination materials for printing were not ready at this stage to be given to participants. The CDs provided with this report include the PowerPoint presentation, photos, agenda and Feedback Form. A news reporter and photographer was invited and present for parts of the conference.
Participants included University of Kurdistan's top-level management and academic staff. Participants were invited in person and automated internal letters. All in all 19 participants took part in the roundtable conference a number much lower than the number invited. A news reporter was also invited for greater coverage of the event.
