WS6.ITCs for IROs

Last week, the 6th Workshop 'ITCs for IROs' was carried out at Allameh Tabataba'i University, in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran, in the framework of the Erasmus+ project Internationalization of Higher Education in Iran (IHEI).
The training was delivered by staff of the University of Alicante. Mr Francisco Gallego, IT expert, International Project Management Office and Francisco Vives, Multimedia over the network coordinator, IT Service shared with our Iranian partners their knowledge and expertise on the in-house developed 'OGPI tools for IRO management' and 'Design and operation of spaces equipped with professional videoconference and video-streaming for shared studies'
Five sessions were provided via on-line video conference, either Adobe Connect or Skype:

  • UACLOUD
  • Social Media Networks
  • Vualà Content Management System
  • Digitisation, document imaging, language technology and processing of historical texts. The Impact Project
  • Diffusion and unassisted recording of classes and events
  • MOOCs for HEIs: UniMOOC platform and BizMOOC project

The main aim of this training workshop was to increase the knowledge of participants on key topics for a better IT management and implementation.
Besides, the 2nd-year management meeting was held in order to check the achievement grid of the work-packages and activities already carried out by the consortium and to schedule the next 6 month activities and deliverables.

Simultaneously, representatives of Iranian universities and the University of Alicante attended the 29th Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition took place from 12–15 September 2017 at the Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES).
 
The Iranian delegation, composed of members from the Allameh Tabataba'i University, Shiraz University, University of Sistan and Baluchestan, University of Kurdistan, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, experienced this 4-day conference with 6000 participants from 95 countries.
